These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of gettenanthelp.ca (the "Site") and the letter-generation service offered through it (the "Service"), operated by Fernanda Cabrera, a sole proprietor ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Site or purchasing a letter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate a draft letter addressed to a landlord or property manager, based on the information you provide and publicly available residential tenancy legislation for your province or territory. The Service is intended to help tenants communicate their situation clearly and reference relevant legislation — it is a drafting tool, not a substitute for legal advice from a licensed lawyer or paralegal.
Nothing provided through the Service — including the "Verdict," "Quick answer," "What you should do" sections, or the letter itself — constitutes legal advice, a legal opinion, or a guarantee of any particular outcome. Residential tenancy law varies by province, changes over time, and depends heavily on the specific facts of each situation, many of which the Service has no way of verifying. You are solely responsible for reviewing the letter before sending it, and for deciding whether to seek advice from a licensed lawyer or paralegal, or from your province's residential tenancy authority, before relying on it.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your province or territory, and a resident of Canada, to use the Service.
Upon successful payment, your letter is generated and made available to you immediately, through an on-screen download and copy option. No physical goods are shipped, and no further action is required on our part to complete delivery.
Because the Service is fully performed — the letter is generated and delivered to you — at the moment your payment is processed, there is no waiting period between payment and supply, and no cancellation right applies once your letter has been delivered. Accordingly, all sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. If a technical issue prevents you from receiving your letter after payment, please contact us at the email below and we will make it right.
You retain ownership of the information you submit about your situation and of the final letter once generated. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information you provide — the Service drafts the letter based only on what you submit, and does not independently verify facts, dates, or amounts.
Letters are generated using a third-party AI model (Anthropic's Claude). While the Service is designed to reference only verified, publicly available legislation where possible, AI- generated content can occasionally be incomplete or imprecise. Review your letter carefully before sending it, and edit any details that do not accurately reflect your situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to any outcome of a dispute with a landlord, any action or inaction taken based on the letter, or any delay or error in the information provided. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the letter in question.
We do not guarantee that sending a letter generated through the Service will result in any particular response from a landlord, or in the resolution of your situation. If your matter is not resolved, you may need to file an application with your province's residential tenancy authority, and you may wish to consult a licensed lawyer or paralegal.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
